Thanks Marlene - thank you for saying they seem to paint themselves! I'm glad they look that way, but no, most of my paintings are battles :-D It's rare that a painting goes smoothly,
My palette had three blues, three yellows, and three reds and white, which is my usual "full" palette, but I based the painting on a tonal structure - limited hue range, if you will. Almost all of it is blue green or some slight variation thereof. Even the red roof is knocked down with some blue green.
